Explore

• Double-click to center the map on that spot
• Move around the map by dragging, searching, or 'center' in Marker Detail
• Switch between Road Map and Satellite
• Use Tools -> Locate Me to find your location (based on ISP)
• View the current location's Daylight & Weather Conditions (Tools menu)

Search

• Search for a US address, eg: 10 market st, san francisco
• Search for cities, eg: London
• Search for cities in countries, eg: Canada
• Search for cities in states, eg: California
• Search for cities in provinces, eg: British Columbia
• Search for cities with wildcard matching, eg: new*
• Search for landmarks, eg: Millenium Dome
• Center on a latitude/longitude, eg: 49.26, -123.25
• Accepts MSN Virtual Earth, Google Earth or World Wind URLs

More Searches (dropdown menu next to Locate)

• Click "News" for location news stories
• Click "Weather" for location conditions
• Click "Wiki" for encyclopedia article on location
• Click "Images" to perform an image search

Markers

• Create a marker by right double-clicking
• Remove markers using the Marker List or Detail panel
• Add details, change location using the Marker Edit panel
• Import markers with Data -> Import
• Center on Markers using the Zoom to markers button (left of zoom slider)
• Create XML using Data -> Export XML
• Create JavaScript using Data -> Export JS
• Create a complete web page using Data -> Export HTML

Saving

• Save will remember your map setting and markers for your next visit
• Note: Save requires browser cookies to be enabled

• Use Permalink to bookmark, email or transfer to other map sites
• Visit the Community Page to learn more about mappping

Notes

The time displayed is merely an approximation based on Longitude, ignoring political and geographical boundaries. It does not take into account Daylight Savings, which is observed by Countries in the European Union, North America and elsewhere. From April through October, a small sun (eg: 04:02 PM) appears after the time, indicating most Countries are one hour ahead of the time displayed. Click on the time to bring up a new window with a list of accurate times for international cities. Read this Daylight Savings link for full details as to when and where it is observed.

A set of International Cities and Google are used for searching.

Images, News, Weather and Wiki are dragable links.
